For Libya, when you fill in the booking form we 'll need also your birthday
, as well as occupation . To be able to secure your visa at the airport,
booking must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. For Eclipse 2006 must
be 45 days in advance

major sites and Museum are closed on Mondays

There is no ATM machines , credit cards are not used. Very small number
of hotels do accept credit card, but machines & connection
are not reliable to clear the charges and approve the transaction.

This is a cash only country , do not count on using traveler checks.

For the 5 star hotels expect them to be at the intentionally recognized
4 star levels, and the 4 stars Libyan rated to be really 3 stars level.

No alcoholic beverages may be brought into Libya , its not allowed
to sell , buy, or consume any alcoholic beverages. There are
no night clubs in Libya.

Libya will not issue you a visa, if there is an Israeli stamp in your
passport.

Domestic
flights are always subject to changes and / or cancellation , even
on a last minute basis.
In
Libya, surprises are the order of the day! An invitation to a refreshing
glass of mint tea while you browse in a shop . . . an encounter with
a humble desert dweller . . . a gust of wind and a swirl of sand, followed
by perfect stillness, and vistas under an endless blue sky.
