your safety. Escorted by knowledgeable and experienced guides, you

Today it is home to less than 120 families. We arrive mid morning

tractor-trailer for a ride to the Blue Swallow Reserve with bird expert
Edward Themba (Subject to availability). After lunch, feel free to
wander around the town visiting potters and painters at work.
You may also encounter Wild Horses, which roam free around the town.

hike in the deep gorge, between Mac Mac Pools and Mac Mac Falls. You
will be crawling and swimming through pools, sliding around on your
bum, swinging vines and generally be going ape on this fun and adventurous
activity, for up to 4 hours! The scenery in the gorge is beautiful
and waterfalls, such as the Pixie Falls, are truly enchanting.

The Waterfall Abseil takes place down a rock-face of 25 meters, right
next to the stunning Sabie Falls. You will get to look straight at
the waterfall, while dangling on a rope. As you lower yourself down
the rock-face, you will have the cool, refreshing spray of the waterfall
in your face, and the deafening roar of liters of water cascading
down the rocks, in your ears.
You will finish up in the pool below the waterfall, and then swim
out to a rock, where you can sit and watch your fellow adventurer’s
abseiling down the rock-face. The cherry on top is the short hike
out of the beautiful gorge, to get back to our base at Sabie Backpackers
Lodge.
We will provide you with all the abseiling gear, as well as, a helmet
and a life jacket. Once again, our adventure guides will be there
to ensure absolute safety and extreme fun!
Bridge Swing

• Departure 09h00; 14h00

• Language Available Various Language guides available on request
• Cost ZAR 495
On this Extreme activity, you are required to climb over the bridge
railing of the 30 meter high Sabie Falls Bridge and jump back as far
as you can, to end up swinging (like Tarzan on Wacky Tabacky) into
the picturesque gorge of the Sabie Falls.
You can also do, what is called, the suicide jump, where you stand
behind the railing, facing forward and jumping down, screaming as
far as gravity will allow you to utter a sound. We use a static rope,
which is kept tight at all times, to ensure an Ultra Smooth swing.
There will be no jerking around on this bridge! You will be kitted
out with a safety harness, before our adventure guides assist you
in taking flight for a few breath-taking minutes.
Caving by Candlelight
• Tour Code TOUR210
• Days Daily
• Min/Max Participants Two/Forty
• Departure 09h00; 14h00
• Vehicle Luxury Minibuses to Forty Four Seater
• Language Available Various Language guides available on request
• Cost ZAR 495
If you are into crawling around in muddy, dark holes and tunnels with
only a candle in your hand, this one is for you. Caving by candle
light entails a 2-3 hour adventure in the Lone Creek Caves, which
are virtually unused by humans. We are the only wacky ones to go exploring
these dark and lonely caves, so you will not feel like just another
tourist doing the touristy thing.
We will arm you with an over-all, a helmet and a candle for this muddy
activity, before leading you into the dark mouth of the Lone Creek
Caves. We will take you through some tunnels, where you can walk upright;
into a few large chambers; down muddy bum-slides; and through smaller
tunnels, such as the drainpipe, where you will be required to Snake
Slither (Leopard Crawling is so last year) your way out.
Please bring along some old clothes and a pair of shoes (which can
get very dirty and which will stay on your feet at all times). The
over-all will keep most of the mud off you, but you still get a bit
dirty underneath.
