Aside
from the monastery and its chapel the area also boasts the Montserrat-museum,
several restaurants and some hotels. Access to the monastery area is by
bus, via a winding mountain road. Several mountain trekking routes start
from the monastery. The most popular of these is Camino del Rosario, which
finishes at a chapel. It is said that the saint, the Black Virgin of Montserrat,
was found in a cave that was located here. You 'll have time to visit
the monastery, to take the cable –car or to enjoy with the concert
of a boy’s choir called “Escolania” that is considered
the oldest in Europe. |

Cruzando
los pintorescos pueblos de la provincia se llega al marco incomparable
de la Montaña de Montserrat, que se alza majestuosa a una altitud de 1.235
m. Allí se sitúa el Monasterio que contiene la Virgen Moreneta, patrona
de Cataluña. Dispondremos de tiempo libre para visitar el monasterio,
subir en el teleférico o asistir al canto de la “Escolanía”, el coro de
