Luxury On The Nile
Welcome to the new Ultra Deluxe TiYi Nile cruiser
TiYi the Queen was the great wife of the late 18th dynasty Egyptian ruler AMENHOTEP III (1390-1352 BC). TiYi was also the mother of AKHENATEN (1352-1336 BC) who was the first Egyptian king who called for belief in one God. The Queen lived between Thebes; the old capital and El-Amarna; the new capital.
One of the most relaxing things for a visitor to do in Egypt is cruise along the Nile. Although elements of the modern world are beginning to transform parts of the Nile riverbank, much of the river still retains the same scenery that would have been familiar to the ancient Egyptians. It is a scene of which you will never tire. One can often watch everyday life in progress on the fertile river bank as villages and farms are passed by. Before the Aswan High Dam was built in the sixties, farmers had to contend with the annual inundation (flood), but now the flow of the Nile is carefully controlled. Egyptian children wearing colorful clothes love to wave and call out to the passing boats and you will often see them playing soccer at the end of the day as the heat abates. The Nile is the heart of Egypt, the oldest mankind civilization on earth. The best way to explore its mystery is sailing along the magnificent river, enjoying the glamorous sun by daytime, hugging the full moon with your eyes at night and spending the time of your life on board M/S TiYi.
