Tour choice : 1) Transfer from ship to Athens and back , always with a private air-conditioned vehicle, and with a private guide, to see Acropolis, Anafiotoka, the new Acropolis Museum and walk to Plaka , then enjoy lunch at a charming local restaurant . Return transfer to ship. Entrance fees for the Acropolis are included.

Time permitting Ride the new Athens Subway alongside the locals today ( always escorted with your English speaking Guide) ! We take pride in affording you this experience, entirely by public transportation, with orientation by our English-speaking representative. HISTORICAL INTEREST- Museum Tour :
BENAKI MUSEUM - (closed on Tuesdays)
Covering the history of Greece from Paleolithic (pre-historic, 60000 B.C.) till present. Can easily spend over 4 hours in there. There is also a cafeteria for breaks.

Temple of Olympian Zeus / Dionissos Theatre/ Ancient Agora/ Roman Agora

Transfer from ship to Athens and back , always with a private air-conditioned vehicle, and with a private guide. Start with the visit the Acropolis i.e. visit the Propylaea, the Temple of Athina Niki, the Erechtyion, the Parthenon and then finally the new museum of the Acropolis.
Then continue with a city tour to see the highlights ... Constitution square (Syntagma), House of Parliament, Memorial to the unknown soldier, Panepistimiou avenue, St. Denis Roman Catholic cathedral, Academy, University and National library. Driving along Herod Atticus street, see the Presidential Palace and the Evzones in their traditional uniform. On the way to the Acropolis see the Panathenaic stadium, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's arch.
Lunch is included at a charming Greek restaurant . Then free time in the Plaka , shopping etc.

Especially for shore excursions, we recommend loose, comfortable cottons or other lightweight clothing.

Some of the tours involve long bus rides and/or considerable walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended.

Please bear in mind that shore excursion coaches are air conditioned and you may wish to bring a light sweater.

On tours that include visits to places of worship, shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted.
