Of course, we'll arrange to have a photographer on hand to record the exotic beginning of your life together. Then, off you go, from throbbing Tokyo to luxuriate in a secluded spa in the Nikko mountains, and onward to Mount Fuji, and a panoply of unforgettable sensations that you'll always treasure.

de votre coeur. Experience the grace, artistry and refinement of a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony in the historic setting of a Kyoto merchant’s home! Your
memorable special day begins with a tour of the 120-year-old house to
prepare you for the lovely ceremony to come. We explain the history of
Japan, its marriage customs, and the furnishings and decorations of this
traditional home. When the house tour is done, you’ll eagerly look Following your tour of the house, you, the bride and groom, prepare for the ceremony by dressing in beautiful wedding kimonos and practicing movement in these supremely graceful, comfortable costumes. Appropriately
dressed, you proceed to the inner sanctum of the guest Your service begins with traditional welcomes and the bestowal of sacred Japanese bracelets to the betrothed couple. The officiant describes the blessed, happy state of marriage, and prepares the couple for their exchange of vows. You exchange vows of love, respect and devotion with your beloved in the time-honored way. The
officiant pronounces you husband and wife, and you pledge your vows by
sharing a ceremonial toast of sake, drinking three times each from a three-tiered
cup. Having sipped the sake and pledged your love, the officiant pronounces
a blessing and benediction, and the formal A congratulatory dance is performed by a professional dancer in your honor. After the dance, it’s time to immortalize your happiness in photographs, so you may tell members of your wedding party to flash away! If you wish, you may now have the officiant lead the way, bearing lanterns, to the nearby Seimei shrine. In a purification ceremony, you may pray for the welfare and happiness of your new household. The recessional concludes the service as you stroll away with your beloved.
The duration of the ceremony is approximately two hours. The $4980 (total for the couple) cost includes: -- A silk kimono for the bride, and instruction in how to dress and wear it. (the kimono is for you to keep). The merchant’s house in which your ceremony takes place is also a long-established Japanese couturier which makes fine silk bridal kimonos exclusively for those married in the merchant’s house. The bride's wedding kimono will become your first treasured family heirloom . -- The use of traditional bridal kimono accessories during the service (the accessories will be returned to the house after the conclusion of your service). -- Use of the groom’s kimono during the service (returned to the house at the end of the service). -- Basic traditional make-up for the bride. -- Gratuity to the Seimei shrine. -- The service of an English speaking
attendant who will assist with any language matter, translation,
communication etc.
-- If you prefer to walk from the Merchant's house to the Shrine , the saving is $600 to be deducted from the listed cost of : $4980. The walking procession to the Seimei shrine, if you wish it will take about 10 minutes. -- Or if you would rather ride in a car from the merchant’s house to the Seimei shrine then the saving is $400 to be deducted from the$4980
To enhance your ceremony, these services are available at additional cost:
-- Special make-up for the bride before the ceremony. -- Japanese tea ceremony in a traditional tearoom, with instruction about the customs, traditions and manners of this renowned Japanese social rite. -- A beautiful Japanese umbrella and/or fan as a souvenir. -- Wedding photography by a professional
photographer during your entire service.
