Give us six days, and we’ll give you the highlights of Istanbul and Western Turkey. Tour

DAY 1 – ISTANBUL – Daily arrival – April-Oct – Private Touring – Private Transfers
Our local representative will meet your plane and escort you to your hotel. Explore Istanbul as you wish on your own. In the evening, your guide or local tour manager will go over the itinerary with you over a cup of Mint Tea.

Day 2 – ISTANBUL – CANAKKALE (Breakfast, Dinner)
In the morning proceed through the commercial area passing Ottoman monuments to the famous Egyptian Spice Bazaar for a short visit. Then take the local ferry to start an unforgettable excursion between two continents, Europe & Asia. The cruise takes you along the latest palaces of Ottomans, The Dolmabahçe Palace and Beylerbeyi, as well as 19th and 20th century, beautiful wooden Kiosks. Mansions and modern villas which form the elegant section of the city. Enjoy the scenery. After lunch, a pleasant drive to the First World War battlefields of Gallipoli. After a brief visit cross the Dardanelles by ferry boat to Asia. Overnight and dinner in Çanakkale.

Day 3 – CANAKKALE – Troy – Pergamum – IZMIR (Breakfast, Dinner)
In the morning depart hotel for the site of Troy, the homeric city. The short drive to Troy ends with the thrill of standing atop the ancient walls where beautiful Helen once stood, where the Trojan Horse brought victory for the invading Achaeans 3300 years ago. Afterwards a lovely drive to Pergamum, lunch in town. Visit the Acropolis of Hellenistic Pergamum. Among its buildings are the Altar of Zeus and the temples of Trojan& Dionysus. Visit the Asclepion, the earliest health center of Asia Minor. Continue to Izmir. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

Day 4 – IZMIR – Ephesus – Fly back to Istanbul (Breakfast)
Depart hotel for an hour drive to the magnificent site of Ephesus. Ephesus was the seat of the Council of Ephesus (If you are interested in visiting the Council of Ephesus, please let’s know in advance). Here at the great Amphitheater in Ephesus the rioters cried against St. Paul ” Great is the Diana of Ephesians”.

Ephesus is the best preserved of the Greek/Roman cities in Anatolia and while you are visiting the ancient ruins of this magnificent site and your guide will bring them alive. You will see the beautiful Celsus Library, restored and reconstructed according to its original form by the architect Friedmund Hueber in the 1970’s. The most spectacular building of Ephesus is the Grand Theater, built during the Hellenistic age to hold 24,000 spectators. It is there that St. Paul preached. Opposite the Temple of Hadrian are the Hill Houses, homes of Ephesus’ wealthy citizens. The city was also the hometown of great philosopher Heraclitus. After a visit to Ephesus Antique Site, you will arrive at Sirince Village. This old Orthodox Village, 30 km from Kusadasi, was once “Cirkince”(ugly). Indeed its inhabitants gave this name on the purpose as they did not want to be bothered by foreigners nor to share the beauty of their village. Still after years, visitors understood that the village was not ugly and called it “Sirince” (pretty). Today the village is a perfect synthesis of Turkish-Greek culture as of the 1920’s; after the Turkish Independence War, people exchange between Greek and Turks has occurred and all those typical Greek houses, though they kept their original outside characteristics, have received the local layout inside. At Sirince Village you will have chance of seeing the local life at a village and purchasing some small local souvenirs and handicrafts.

The village is also famous for its local grape and other fruit wines. During the lunch, mingle with the local people of the village as you will be a guest in their house for a simple lunch of local specialties. Have a cup of traditional Turkish coffee at the main coffee house of the village.

Time permitting, you may wish to check your future!! A gypsy fortune teller will be glad to read coffee cup. Your last stop will be the visit to the Archaeological Museum of Ephesus established in 1929. It displays very interesting and valuable finds from Ephesus. Afterwards drive to Izmir international airport for your onward flight to Istanbul (air fare is included in our rate in economy class, tax included). In Istanbul, our local rep. will escort you to your hotel. Transfers are always included and in a private air-conditioned vehicle, with a private chauffeur.

DAY 5 – ISTANBUL (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today you see the best of Istanbul. We will tour the great Ottoman capital, visiting the Blue Mosque, Süleymaniye Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi, the palace of the sultans, with its fabulous Treasury and collections of priceless Chinese porcelains. In the afternoon we venture out to the great city walls to see the Kariye Museum (Chora Church), the church of St. Savior, resplendent with Byzantine mosaics. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Enjoy a guided leisurely afternoon walk of the Grand Bazaar and maybe some shopping.

This evening your guide will call on you for a leisurely walk (if the hotel is in Sultan Ahmet area, otherwise we will drive of course) to the Whirling Dervishes Ceremony in Istanbul, with entrance fees included. The ceremony held in Sirkeci area within an historic Turkish Bath structure, it will be your choice that we walk both ways or use the tram one way or even ride the tram both ways (for guests who are in the Sultan Ahmet Area), tram tickets are included and will be purchased by your guide with our compliments.

We will follow the main street passing through the hearth of old city or using the tram down to Sirkeci station where also legendary final stop of Orient Express is located. The ceremony starts at 19.30 but we recommend getting to the place by 18.30, for the introduction ceremony. The Whirling Dervishes ceremony takes about one hour.

Day 6 – Departure (Breakfast)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Bon Voyage!

Subject to the flight confirmation and arrival time, we will try to cover and tour some of Izmir highlights this afternoon such as ascending to Kadifekale, Izmir’s hill crowned by a fortress built by Alexander the Great, to enjoy the view. Overnight: Izmir.

Day 4 – IZMIR – Ephesus – IZMIR (Breakfast. Dinner)

DAY 1: ISTANBUL
Our local rep. meets your flight and escorts you to your hotel. Welcome fruit basket in your room with our compliments.

This tour starts daily in Istanbul. Please keep in mind that we reserve the right to substitute some sites based on the following: Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesday; Ayasofia is closed on Monday; Kariye Museum is closed on Wednesdays; and The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.

DAY 2: ISTANBUL – (BL)
We dive right into this fascinating city with visits to its top sights: Topkapi, the palace of the Sultans for centuries; Hagia Sophia, the greatest church in Christendom for a thousand years; the Blue Mosque, with its exquisite blue tiles; the Byzantine Hippodrome, scene of chariot races and gladiator combat; and the eerie Sunken Palace cistern beneath it. Then a drive through modern neighborhoods brings us to the ancient city walls and the Kariye Museum (Chora Church), filled with brilliant Byzantine mosaics.

DAY 3: Bosphorus Cruise – The Grand Bazaar (BL)
Breakfast, as always, is included at the hotel. Today llunch is included at a local restaurant. We start our day with a tour of the bustling Grand Bazaar where you can find jewelry, carpets, goat-hair rugs, hand-painted ceramics, copper and brass in labyrinthine streets holding nearly 4000 shops. Yet Istanbul bazaars have more to offer. Today we continue along the restored 19th-century thoroughfare of Istiklal Caddesi, once known as the Grand Rue de Péra. We will search (with your private guide) for spices and folk remedies in the Egyptian Bazaar.

Istanbul’s history was formed by the Bosphorus, the winding strait that separates Europe and Asia, connecting the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara. Now, as in ancient times, it is a maritime vital link between the countries bordering the Black Sea and those in the rest of the world. Today we take a leisurely cruise northward along this historic waterway. Along its shores are ranged palaces great and small — Topkapi, Dolmabahçe, Beylerbeyi, Küçüksu, Hünkar Iskelesi. Four great fortresses rise on the hills, reminding us that to control the Bosphorus was to control the destinies of nations. Our tour today will also include visits to the Navy’s Museum showing some magnificent yachts and boats used by the Ottoman Sultans for their sailing across the Bosphorus, this is not to be missed. After a brief stop at Çamlica Hill lookout we head back to your hotel.

The Bosphorus cruise is an afternoon one, but it becomes a morning cruise during the October–April season.

DAY 4: Istanbul – DEPARTURE (B)
 Our local rep will assist you with the transfer to Istanbul airport for your flight home. Breakfast is included at the hotel.

Note: You may join the tour starting any day of the week, but the itinerary may change due to site closings: The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sunday, Hagia Sophia on Monday, Topkapi Palace on Tuesday, and the Kariye Museum on Wednesday. When a sight is closed, we substitute another sight of comparable interest.

Private Tours in Turkey

My wife and I recently returned from the trip of a lifetime to Turkey and Egypt. Our three week trip included stops in Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. It included a 5 day cruise on the Nile from Luxor to Aswan which was absolutely fabulous. Omar also arranged a hot air balloon flight for us over Cappadocia in the early morning that was amazing. The people and historic sites in both Turkey and Egypt are incredible. Every place we went we were impressed with the friendliness of the locals and the beauty of the land and the antiquities. Enjoy breakfast at your lovely hotel (or Villa), another day for you to explore Santorini on your own. Some suggestions that you may wish to consider (on your own): Akrotiri, reputedly the site of fabled Atlantis. Then on to Athinios port to take a boat across to the dormant volcano and ascend through a crater-pocked moonscape to the crater. Visit Thirassia Island and watch sunset in Oia. Return to your hotel/villa early evening – the decision is totally yours.

DAY 6: Santorini – Own activities (B)
Whether to stay in your lovely hotel and enjoy the beach, the service, and the amenities, or to venture out to explore some of the dramatic cliffs, coves, and villages… that is the question! No doubt, you’ll mix a bit of both; relax, and revisit a favorite café or shop, sip an ouzo or retsina at a waterside café, discover a beach or two, or pick up a loaf of fresh bread and cheese and olives, and picnic on a hillside as you look out to the sailboats at sea. Your days will be filled.

DAY 7: SANTORINI, CRETE (B)
We’ll rendezvous in time to take you to your flight to Crete, Heraklion & your hotel. Flights operate only on Thursday & Saturday. On other days, it will be the ferry which is 5 hours (business class), or flights via Athens (Supplement applies$).

DAY 8: CRETE (B)
Today in Heraklion explore Crete as you wish on your own – maybe visit the unique 5000 year old museum, and tour to the three-story Minoan palace of Knossos (this is an optional tour).

DAY 9: CRETE (B)

DAY 10: CRETE /ISTANBUL (Via Athens) (BD)
Breakfast at the hotel. Then we’ll call for you and see you to the airport to begin your journey across the Aegean to Istanbul after connecting at Athens Airport. Air fare is included in our rate, economy class (free to upgrade to business class if/when available based on plane’s configuration), tax included. Ticket is issued & delivered in Athens. Arrival in Istanbul. Our personnel will be on hand to greet you upon arrival and see you to your Hotel or, if you prefer, an Ottoman mansion-style boutique hotel in the old part of the Turkish capital, please let’s know your preference at the time of booking.

This evening we have included dinner at a charming local restaurant, round trip transfers are of course included. Return to your hotel and overnight.

DAY 11: ISTANBUL (BL)
Imperial Constantinople in the Belle Epoque (late 19th century), the exotic romance of the “Paris of the East.”

Morning walking tour: We start with our guide in Karaköy where the foreign bankers and shipping companies had their headquarters, then take the Tünel up to istiklal Caddesi; stop in the whirling dervish tekke, and walk past the various old embassy buildings (now consulates), and point out the architecture. Stop for tea (included) at the famous Pera Palace Hotel.

Walk at least as far as Galatasaray Square, and have lunch in the Çicek Pasaji (Flower Passage); then walk up to Taksim Square and be picked up for the afternoon tour. Lunch is included at a charming local restaurant.

In the afternoon tour we will visit Yildiz Palace Park and the Ihlamur Kasri, a mini-palace south of Yildiz, and finish up with a visit to the Military History Museum in Harbiye in time to hear the “Mehter,” or Ottoman military band (mid-afternoon).

DAY 12: ISTANBUL (BL)
Istanbul’s history was formed by the Bosphorus, the winding strait that separates Europe and Asia, connecting the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara. Now, as in ancient times, it is a maritime vital link between the countries bordering the Black Sea and those in the rest of the world. Today we take a leisurely cruise northward along this historic waterway. Along its shores are ranged palaces great and small-Topkapi, Dolmabahçe, Beylerbeyi, Küçüksu, Hünkar Iskelesi. Four great fortresses rise on the hills, reminding us that to control the Bosphorus was to control the destinies of nations.

Our afternoon cruise (morning cruise for Oct-Apr season) of two continents, crossing from Europe to Asia and back, includes visits to the Navy’s Museum (showing some magnificent boats used by the Ottoman Sultans), the Bosphorus Bridge, Çamlica Hill lookout, and stupendous Dolmabahçe Palace.

We enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then go on a shopping spree at the labyrinth of the Grand Bazaar. You won’t want to miss The Grand Bazaar as it offers endless bargains in the 5000 stands, kiosks, and shops. Soak up the atmosphere of a traditional coffee house, complete with bubbling water pipes.

DAY 13: ISTANBUL (BLD)
We dive right into this fascinating city with visits to its top sights: Topkapi, the palace of the Sultans for centuries; Hagia Sophia, the greatest church in Christendom for a thousand years; the Blue Mosque, with its exquisite blue tiles; the Byzantine Hippodrome, scene of chariot races and gladiator combat; and the eerie Sunken Palace cistern beneath it. Then we go on a shopping spree at the labyrinth of the Grand Bazaar. Join us for Istanbul by Night, a dinner tour with live music and belly dancing Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

An excellent value-for-your-money full-day small-group guided walking tours of Istanbul’s major historical sights. It may just be the most efficient way to see all the main sights in a single day (including even the Grand Bazaar). The full-day tour is actually two half-day tours, the morning tour: Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Hippodrome, break for lunch on your own, then the afternoon tour: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar.

Our local rep. will pick you up from your hotel or cruise ship pier at 08:00 sharp, please be ready as the coach will not wait.

You will start the day with a visit to Topkapi Palace and then on to the Million stone underground “Basilica” or “Sunken Palace” Cistern (Yerebatan Saray Sarniçi), and the Hippodrome.

Around noon we break for lunch, of course the guide will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about restaurants. For lunch, the tour stops at Sultanahmet’s famous Lâle Restaurant known as the Pudding Shop. The Lâle is a good choice as it is right at the eastern end of the Hippodrome, with a good selection of ready foods (you can choose just by pointing at what looks good), free wi-fi, and soft drinks. You can choose to eat here for lunch, or you can go somewhere else, or you can bring your own picnic and have it while sitting on a bench in the Hippodrome, it is your choice.

Then we start again around 1 pm for the afternoon tour which begins with a visit to Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia), followed by visits to the Sultanahmet (Blue) Mosque,Ottoman imperial tombs on Divan Yolu, Burnt Column (Çemberlitas) and the Çemberlitas hamam (Turkish bath), and the Grand Bazaar (Kapali Çarsi).

The tour ends around 16:30 (4:30 pm) in the Grand Bazaar, allowing you time to wander and/or shop on your own. Return to hotel(s) on your own. To allow you as much time as you want at the Bazaar, the guide will be on hand to show you where to pick a taxi or the public bus to go back to your hotel or next destination.

Compare that list of sights to any other walking tour, and you’ll see the difference and the value. With us you see more in this walking tour of Istanbul: more sights and more time to see them.

For example, many tours don’t allow time for you to explore the Harem at Topkapi Palace; and some especially those that take you to the Grand Bazaar schedule tour stops at particular shops. The entire tour group goes into the shop, sits for an hour or so, inspects the goods, and the tour operator is paid a commission on purchases made by tour participants. Nothing wrong with this, except that prices may be higher and you’re sitting in a shop rather than seeing the sights! Why pay a tour company a fee for shopping? You can go shopping on your own. You don’t need to pay a tour company to park you in a shop for an hour.

The good news is that on our tour there is no forced shopping stop. Your guide will make suggestions if you ask, and can introduce you to good shops if you like, but you won’t be parked in a shop for an hour when you should be out seeing the sights.

This Walking Tour operates every day, though you must keep in mind that Hagia Sophia is closed on Monday, Grand Bazaar is closed on Sunday and Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesday.

Bosphorus Cruise and Eminonu

This tour is perhaps the easiest, half-day (4-hour) program to take you on a 1-1/2-hour TurYol Bosphorus public ferry cruise and to introduce you to the Golden Horn district of Eminönü and its historic mosques and markets.

The tour van picks you up from your hotel after lunch: 1:30 PM, and takes you to Eminönü on the Golden Horn, where you visit the Egyptian (Spice) Bazaar, Hasircilar Caddesi market street, the huge Yeni Valide Mosque, and the exquisite Rüstem Pasha Mosque, and take a TurYol boat on a Bosphorus cruise, the tour van will bring you back to the hotel around 6 PM.

Istanbul is located along the shores of Bosphorus which has some of the most splendid views in the world. Apart from the natural beauty of the strait separating Europe and Asia, both sides house the Imperial palaces, kiosks, pavilions, gardens and today’s million dollars mansions, you will cruise on the Bosphorus by public ferry boat and your guide will always be with you and the group at all times, the tour also includes a visit to Rustem Pasha Mosque where the last samples of Ottoman Imperial tiles are exhibited. Then, you will visit the Egyptian Bazaar (Spice Market) the last stop of Silk Road where today, the various types of spices, Turkish delights, Turkish coffee, herbal teas and souvenirs continue to be available. Return to the hotel about 18:00.

Eminönü is a former district of Istanbul in Turkey, now a neighbourhood of Fatih district. This is the heart of the walled city of Constantine, the focus of a history of incredible richness. Eminönü covers the point on which the Byzantine capital was built. The Galata Bridge crosses the Golden Horn into Eminönü and the mouth of the Bosphorus opens into the Marmara Sea. And up on the hill stands Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii) and Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofya). Thus Eminönü is the main tourist destination in Istanbul. It was a part of the Fatih district until 1928, which covered the whole peninsular area of old Istanbul within the medieval city walls – that area which was formerly the Byzantine capital Constantinople.

Pick you up at your hotel, after breakfast 08:30 AM, drive along the 4th-century Byzantine City Walls, stop for a visit to Yedikule (Fortress of the Seven Towers), then continue to the Kariye Museum (Church of the Holy Savior in Chora), where you see the splendid Byzantine mosaics.

Then drive you to the Pierre Loti café on a hilltop overlooking the city and the Golden Horn, for a glass of tea or cup of Turkish coffee.

From the café you can walk downhill through a historic Ottoman cemetery, or you can take the cable car down to the shore of the Golden Horn and visit the Eyüp Sultan Mosque, one of Istanbul’s most beloved and historic. (It was here that the sultans of the Ottoman Empire were invested with the Sword of Osman, the equivalent to a European imperial coronation.)

From Eyüp, you drive along the shores of the Golden Horn to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Fener for a visit before continuing along the Golden Horn to the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, where you can browse the shops, or board a TurYol Bosphorus public ferry for a 1-1/2-hour Bosphorus cruise. Or you can skip the Spice Bazaar, stay in the vehicle and be dropped in Sultanahmet, as you wish.

Total tour time is 3-1/2 to 4 hours. The tour operates every day except Wednesday (when the Kariye Museum/Chora Church is closed.)

A licensed guide accompanies you to explain what you are seeing and make sure all goes smoothly, You pay for any personal expenses such as drinks, snacks, lunch, etc.

This tour gets you to these sights (Yedikule, City Walls, Kariye Museum, Pierre Loti café, etc.) that are the ones most difficult to reach, and least visited by organized tours.

Recommended Restaurants

Sometimes guests ask us for suggestions for restaurants in the Sultanahmet area in Istanbul. The problem is that we don’t really recommend many restaurants in Sultanahmet. We find them either overpriced or mediocre in quality—the usual culprits in a tourist area. However there are a few places that you may wish to consider:

ISTANBUL – No : 1 – Half day (4 hours)

Meet with your guide in front of the Istanbul port passenger Terminal. Drive along the old city walls and under the ancient Roman aqueduct on the way to St Sophia the splendid Church of Divine Wisdom built in the 4th century BC. (Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays. If/when you tour on Mondays then we will visit the Topkapi Palace instead of the Hagia Sophia.) St Sophia’s dome was then the largest in the world. After several conquests and pillages, the building was converted into a mosque, but fell into disrepair as the centuries passed. The mosaics were uncovered in the 1900s and the church was dedicated as a Byzantine-Ottoman museum. Your next stop is at the Hippodrome. Nearby is the Blue Mosque, named for its richly adorned interior of magnificent Iznik tiles. Enjoy some time at the Grand Bazaar for some shopping.

After meeting with your guide, proceed through the commercial area passing Ottoman monuments to the famous Egyptian Spice Bazaar (closed on Sunday) for a short visit. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and the perfect opportunity for taking photographs along both shores of this fabled waterway. Cruise will end in Sariyer, a charming fishing village located on the Bosphorus near the Black Sea.

Dolmabahçe Palace & The Ottoman Military and Naval Museum

ISTANBUL – No: 10 – Half day Tour (4 hours)
Dolmabahçe Palace & The Treasures of the Ottoman Military and Naval Museum housing some of the Sultan’s Imperial Chariots and most charming boats

Drive to the Dolmabahçe Palace, a blend of many European architectural styles. See the famous silk and wool carpets of Hereke, some of the finest examples of the Turkish art of carpet weaving, cover the floors. Rare handmade object d’art from Europe and the Far East decorate every room in the palace. Brilliant crystal chandeliers, candelabras, and fireplaces add to the lavish décor.

After a visit to the palace, you will continue to the Military Museum established in 1826 to house the large collection of armor, weapons, tents, paintings, photographs, and a piece of the chain used by the Byzantines in order to protect the Golden Horn. Pieces date from the era of the Conquest of Istanbul to the era of Sultan Ahmet III. After a brief visit inside the museum, you will watch the Performance of the Ottoman Sultan Military Band (the performance lasts approximately 20 minutes).

During the battles the Mehter (the name given to Ottoman Military Band) would create a tremendous din with mounted timpani, horns, and bagpipes adding to the blunderbuss and cannon as the Ottomans marched through the Balkans into Central Europe. When retreating from the battles, they left many of their instruments behind, and these eventually found their way into the orchestrations of such illustrious composers as Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, and even John Phillip Sousa.

For guests who do not wish to tour the Ottoman Naval Museum, we will instead browse the amazing Topkapi Palace — official residence of the Ottoman Sultans-with courts, pavilions, mosques, fountains and a treasury. Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. If/when touring on a Tuesday then you will tour the Dolmabahçe Palace instead.

Jewish Heritage Tour

ISTANBUL – No: 11 – Half day Tour (4 hours)

Start your tour in centuries old Jewish neighborhood, Galata, with its tower built by the Genoese. From the panorama balcony see the stunning views of old Constantinople, Bosphorus, Golden Horn, and the Jewish quarters. Enjoy refreshments in this historical atmosphere. Afterwards see Neve Shalom Synagogue & Ashkenaz Synagogue and drive to Balat along the Golden Horn where the Star of David appears on the facades of some buildings. See Ahrida Synagogue, built in the 15th century. See the Jewish Cemetery, where the martyrs of Neve Shalom are buried. Last stop at Ortaköy, first disembark point of Sepharads, welcomed by the Ottoman Sultan, and a visit to the Etz-Ahayim Synagogue.

Ancient Ephesus- Meet with your guide in front of the Kusadasi port passenger Terminal. Subject to your estimated time of arrival, usually around 08:30 AM – 09:30 AM and we bring you back to the ship around 2 PM . For cruise ships arriving around 7 AM, expect to be back to the ship around 1 PM.

If there was extra time, is it possible to go to Didyma?
No it is not possible to go to Didyma, it is about 90 minutes drive (each way from Ephesus).

Instead of Didyma we recommend:
Sirince Village. Add this tour for an additional $50 per person.
This old Orthodox Village, 30 kilometers from Kusadasi, was once “Cirkince”(ugly). Indeed its inhabitants gave this name on the purpose as they did not want to be bothered by foreigners nor to share the beauty of their village. Still after years, visitors understood that the village was not ugly and called it “Sirince” (pretty). Today the village is a perfect synthesis of Turkish-Greek culture as of the 1920’s; after the Turkish Independence War, people exchange between Greek and Turks has occurred and all the typical Greek houses, though they kept their original outside characteristics, have received the local layout inside. At Sirince Village you will have chance of seeing the local life at a village and purchasing some small local souvenirs and handicrafts. The village is also famous for its local grape and other fruit wines. During the lunch, mingle with the local people of the village as you will be a guest in their village for a simple cup of traditional Turkish coffee at the main coffee house of the village. Depending on the number of guests, a gypsy woman may read your fortune after you finish your coffee.
