Day 1 – Athens
Arrive at Athens Airport, where our representative will meet you, and assist with the transfer to your hotel. Morning arrivals for guests flying from Europe or the east coast of the USA. You may connect the same day to Mykonos if you so desire and have your stay at Athens at the end or eliminate Athens completely.
Day 2 – Athens – Private Tour (BL)
A private morning sightseeing tour takes us to all the high points: The Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Syntagma Square, The Parliament and the world famous Acropolis. Lunch is included in a charming local restaurant. Afternoon at leisure. Why not have lunch at a taverna in the Plaka, take in a museum or gallery, then do some cafe-sitting and people-watching in Syntagma Squab.
Day 3 – Athens / Mykonos (B)
Early morning transfer to the pier at Piraeus to board the ferry boat heading for Myconos and your selected hotel. We’ll have a representative on hand to meet you, and check you into your hotel. Relax! Reserve some time to stroll the cobbled lanes of Mykonos, sip an ouzo or a retsina at a waterside cafe, discover a beach or two, or pick up a loaf of fresh bread and cheese and olives, and picnic on a hillside as you look out to the sailboats at sea.
Day 4 – Mykonos (B)
The day is totally yours. There’s no need to venture beyond the grounds of your lovely hotel. But on the other hand, there’s plenty of reason to do so, starting with 350 whitewashed churches and chapels, dramatic cliffs, blue seas, and secluded beaches.
DAY 5 – MYKONOS, CRETE (B)
We’ll rendezvous in time to take you to your flight to Crete, Heraklion and your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
DAY 6 – CRETE (B)
Enjoy your stay at the hotel Or explore on your own.
DAY 7 – Crete (B)
Full day at leisure or explore one of the beaches on your own, or ask our local rep for help with the optional tours. If your flight on Day 8 is an afternoon one, then you may stay tonight in Crete if you prefer, then connect on Day 8 to Athens. If you fly today to Athens Airport, proceed on your own to the Airport location hotel: Sofitel Athens Airport.
DAY 8 – Athens (B)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Transfer is included in Crete from the Hotel to Crete Airport. Fly back to Athens air ticket is included in our rate. Upon arrival at Athens Airport, proceed to connect on your own with your connecting flight for home, or ask us for help with any hotel in Athens if you plan to extend your stay. Kalo Taxidi!
