There are now many wonderful and special Guest houses that offer a taste of real Tunisian life in the Sahara and oases. This is an experience of discovery for our guests who love adventure. Here are the names of some of them.

Tozeur

Dar Horchani
Stretching out lazily alongside the pool, gazing into the luxuriant palm oasis… Or curled up in the protective cocoon of a lounge decorated in the colours of the Sahara – wood, ceramic Berber wall hangings and, all around, the pale ochre-coloured Tozeur brick made from a mixture of sand and clay… Life seems to move at a gentle pace. There are no clocks to remind you of the passing of time. Welcome to DAR HORCHANI, set in the very heart of a three-hectare date palm oasis surrounded by desert. A place where the abundant sun is outshined only by the warm hospitality and personal touch of your hosts.

Diar Abou Habibi
These Saharan Lodges are designed as tree houses built on stilts in the middle of a palm grove. This new type of accommodation in the Tozeur Oasis offers a unique change of scenery immersed in the heart of nature and an exceptional culture. Each Lodge is an original creation, which combines comfort, luxury, and tradition. Experience these comfortable suites, and immerse yourself in the legend of Tozeur.

Dar Nejma
A few steps from the palm grove, at the heart of the medina of Tozeur, Dar Nejma, “The House of the Stars” hides behind its high brick walls. From the outside, nothing distinguishes it from other houses in the old city. This is how it was intended by Dominique Airault-Cousin who designed and built in compliance with local traditions. Each apartment reflects a conciliatory approach on architecture, decorative arrangements and traditional materials with warm colors. Each suite is composed of a small living room, a bedroom and a bathroom.

Eden Palm
Eden Palm is an innovative concept offering visitors to the Tozeur region a unique experience: the genuine and intelligent discovery of the date-palm and date, respectively a fruit tree and symbol of Tunisia. There is a museum about the history of Tozeur and its flagship product, the date palm. This is a permanent exhibition that chronicles the historical, geographical, ethnographical, economic and utility of this product.

Chak Wak
An amusement park providing entertainment and culture for all ages. Situated in the palm grove of Tozeur, this park, a real botanical garden covering an area of 5 hectares, aims to combine entertainment and culture for all ages by offering a journey through time and space. The visit is not a simple walk in the oasis but is like a great open book of history, secrets of nature, exploring the wonders of the creation story of the world, humanity, civilizations and monotheistic and polytheistic religions.

Nafta

Dar Hi
Dar Hi, from the mind of leading French designer Matali Crasset, features contemporary lodging somewhere between B&B and boutique hotel – where the desert meets the city. The journey to Dar Hi is a journey of initiation, discovery and mindfulness. It lets you be by yourself, recharge your batteries, take care of your body as well as to engage with and open up to others in an extraordinary natural and human ecological environment.

Tunis Area

In city of TUNIS and its suburbs, there are now hotels of good international brands like:

Hotel Mövenpick Gammarth 5*
The Mövenpick Hotel Gammarth Tunis is a unique and modern location for guests who value perfection. Located in an exclusive residential area, this hotel overlooks the beautiful bays of the Mediterranean and the hills of Sidi Bou Said. The hotel can be easily reached by car from the airport. It is only a few minutes away from La Marsa and Carthage. Two restaurants overlook the sea and a Moroccan restaurant offers an oriental atmosphere. Relax in Kallisti spa, offering a fitness and health club.

Hotel Novotel 4*
The Novotel Tunis boasts an ideal location on Avenue Mohamed V, in the heart of the city’s business district and close to the center of Tunis. The hotel is just 4.3 miles (7 km) from Tunis-Carthage Airport and has 126 air-conditioned rooms (including 55 non-smoking rooms and 2 for people with reduced mobility) with free WIFI. It also has a restaurant, a bar and 14 meeting rooms and is suitable for both business travel and vacations as a couple or family. A private car park is also available.

And other charming hotels (Guest houses) in the ancient MEDINA of TUNIS:

Dar Ben Gacem
Dar Ben Gacem is an oasis of calm nestled in the heart of a UNESCO heritage site, surrounded by historical monuments and artisan workshops that carry on the legacy of their ancestors. They are a social enterprise that supports cultural preservation while providing an authentic Tunisian experience. Dar Ben Gacem was constructed in the 17th century, and was renovated from 2010 to 2013. Today it is a 7 room Boutique Hotel. Restoration work was lead by ASMTunis and decoration and furnishing shows the Tunisian traditional arts & crafts.

Dar Ya
Built in the mid-nineteenth century, this house is in the heart of the medina of Tunis near Dar El Jeld and Pasha streets and a hundred meters from the Place de la Kasbah and Zitouna mosque. After the renovations in 2013 and 2014, this old house is now a luxurious inn named Dar Ya, which means the house of the grandmother.

Hammamet

In HAMMAMET, and in the northern zone, there is a new 5 star hotel:

Hotel Radisson Blu Resort & Thalasso 5*
Nestled on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, the Radisson Blu Resort & Thalasso is an idyllic escape. This hotel in Hammamet lies just 60 kilometres from Tunis, making it easily accessible for city breaks and leisurely holidays. Choose from among 274 chic, elegant rooms and suites, all of which include desirable amenities like free high-speed, wireless Internet. With multiple restaurants and bars on site, guests are sure to find the perfect meal or drink to suit their fancy. Throughout your holiday, you can stroll along 300 metres of beachfront, bask in the sun beside one of their swimming pools, or rejuvenate in the thalasso and spa. Families appreciate the fun-filled kids’ club, and corporate travelers can take advantage of 600 square metres of versatile meeting space.

And also a prestigious hotel:

La Badira
The name Badira means “as bright as the full moon”. Playing on the principle of shadow and light, dear to the artists who frequented Hammamet, it is an Arab inspired poetic serenity. La Badira recreates the world of travel in the 1930s, when the name of Hammamet became known in the world when a large foreign community, mainly European, settled there and redesigned the local architecture, decoration and craftsmanship. Located in a unique setting, the hotel’s modern construction revisits the spirit of that time and offers facilities of the highest quality: Sea view rooms and suites, an innovative local cuisine (redesigned by a major chef), a spa using natural products based on tea, as well as services and customized tours, all led by the latest technology.
