Join us, for an eight-day seven-night combination of fantasy, pleasure, and enlightenment in the Tunisia of Star Wars. Oh yes, galactic traveler, there is a land where fabled cities arise from the sand, where gnomes have left behind their warrens of dwellings, and where sleek craft hover millimeters above the surface free from gravitational bonds. Green oases and palm-fringed beaches promise extraterrestrial pleasures. That land is Tunisia. Combine with Morocco.

Tour

Day 1: Monastir Weekly – Arrive on Sunday
Our local staff will meet you upon arrival at Tunis Carthage International Airport. You’ll be assisted with the formalities, and escorted to Monastir or Sousse and your 3-star tourist class hotel.

Arrive at Monastir or Tunis, where our local rep. will meet you and assist with your transfer to your hotel in Monastir or Sousse.

Day 2: Monastir/EL JEM/GABES/DJERBA (420 Kilometers)
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Early departure; stop to visit the roman amphitheater; continue to Gabes; visit a typical market of el Jara; lunch; departure to Djerba by ferry; visit of Guellala; a workshop of pottery and HOUMT SOUK capital of the îland; dinner and overnight at a 3-star hotel  in DJERBA/ZARZIS.

Day 3: TATAOUINE/MATMATA OU DOUZ
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Depart for Tataouine via the roman road; visit of the downtown with its market of spices and handicrafts; continue to CHENINI; berber village; and lunch. In the afternoon  visit  KSAR EL FACH, ancient berber silos (dwelling cave). Continue to the MATMATA troglodytique village. Dinner and overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 4: DOUZ / KEBILI / TOZEUR (180 Kilometers)
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
We begin our day departing to visit Douz, the desert door and M’razig capital, (optional camel ride ). We then continue to Kebili, the Nefzaous capital which was an important slave market; then cross the Chott El Jerid famous for its mirages and then arrive at Tozeur. Lunch. Visit  downtown and the DAR CHERAIT museum. Optional horse carriage visit of the oases, dinner, and overnight in TOZEUR or NEFTA in a 3-star hotel.

Day 5: TOZEUR/SBEITLA/KAIROUAN (400 Kilometers)
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Morning at leisure. After lunch we head for Sbeitla via Gafsa. After visiting Sbeitla we will continue to Kairouan, dinner, and overnight in a 3-star hotel in Kairouan or Sousse.

Day 6: KAIROUAN/HAMMAMET/NABEUL
Visit the most famous islamic cities; the great mosque, the barber mausoleum, the aghlabits pools, and the medina. Lunch. Continue to Hammamet and visit the medina and a pottery workshop in Nabeul. Dinner and overnight in a 3-star hotel in Hammamet or Tunis.

Day 7: TUNIS/CARTHAGE/SIDI BOU SAID/MONASTIR (200 Kilometers)
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Morning tour of Tunis: The museum of Bardo and the Médina. Lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the marvelous village of Sidi Bou Said and CARTHAGE (the ANTONIN therms, the roman amphitheater, the Punic harbors and the Tophet). Dinner and overnight in a 3-star hotel in Tunis.

Day 8: Departure (B)
After breakfast our local personnel will escort you to the international airport where you’ll start your homeward journey. Bon Voyage!

As mentioned in the itinerary, hotel accommodations are in comfortable three-star (tourist-class) hotels with private facilities.

Prices include:

• Round-trip transportation between airport and hotels, always on a private basis.
• Hotel Accommodations as mentioned, with private facilities, including all taxes.
• Meals as indicated from preset menu (B = breakfast, L = lunch, D = dinner).
• Guided sightseeing as indicated in air-conditioned vehicle, including all admission fees.
