Tour

Half Day Easy Bari:
Private Tour; Morning or Afternoon; Arrive by land, air or sea

Your discovery of Bari, Apulia’s political capital, begins with a panoramic drive through its elegant Seafront as well as its Murat’s District, known also as the Shopping District, to the Swabian Castle for a photo stop.

From the Medieval fortification you will then walk with your tour guide through Bari’s old town to catch sight of the Cathedral named after Saint Sabino, and built in the 12th century in the typical Apulian Romanesque style.

You will then reach the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, considered as one of the city’s main symbols since it houses the Saint’s mortal remains transferred to Bari from Myra (a village in Asia Minor) by 62 sailormen in 1087.

Walking through the old town will give you an insight into the life of the locals and you may even be fortunate enough to see pasta being hand-made: enjoy a short sightseeing through Bari’s old defensive walls, nowadays provided with a panoramic street overlooking the sea, to get to Piazza Mercantile and Piazza Ferrarese, among the city’s main meeting places, connecting the old town to the modern district with its huge variety of boutiques, good quality high street stores and souvenir shops, all at reasonable prices.

Enjoy some time on your own to explore the city independently at the end of the tour or to browse the various shops before joining your tour guide to return to the pier.
